Pros

CEO is genuinely kind and cares about the people and the mission. Lots of previous teachers so a very kind culture. Remote work for those not in Utah. Perks and incentives - great swag for staff.

Cons

Not sure pay is up to par with industry standards for all roles. But they are working on it. Not much diversity or career progression/growth opportunities. Lots of internal disorganization. Bad business practices - led to 2 layoffs in 2 years.

Pros

The mission really matters, literacy is an fundamentally important issue for millions. The people really care and the company treats you like a real person.

Cons

The vision and plan of how to grow and expand is sometimes muddied by legislation, complex federal budgets and timing.
