Pros

You can make an impact on the company and policies if you have the drive and crazy work ethic to make it happen. Have a good idea? Sell it to management and they will put you in charge of making it happen... on top of everything else you need to do. Have another great idea? Guess who will be in charge of implementing it. A real pro is exposure to many facets of a company. You can see many things at RB, yet understand little.

Cons

Do you like to complain about things to management and expect them to fix it? RB is not for you. You must fix it or it remains broken. When they finally realize it is broken and you have not followed the broken process, guess who is punished? It is not management or QA. Guess again. They cannot retain people because everyone is pushed to be a jack of all trades which means there are no aces who are responsible for part of a process. The company does not value aces for promotion. Broad spectrum knowledge is considered better for promotion than small scope specific knowledge. Which makes sense until you see it applied large scale across a giant corporation. Just ask, "who is the person in charge of this?" Employee #1 will say ask employee #2. Employee #2 says to ask employee #3 and so forth until you complain to your manager who thanks you for finding this gap, now can you fill it?
