Pros

Good starting pay, nice office space, subsidized lunches and coffee bar, great place to learn, fast-paced, you’re held accountable and pushed hard.

Cons

Each mid-year and annual review I had (4 total) there were excuses (unrelated to my own performance) as to why I wasn’t eligible for a raise (examples: There was a company-wide agreement no one is getting a raise this cycle, we’re only giving raises to those who are getting a promotion, etc.) despite being told everyone was eligible for compensation increases each review cycle upon receiving my initial offer. My performance was always lauded as above expectations, yet compensation never reflected this. I was also moved into a completely unrelated role to my hiring role without any warning a year into my tenure and I had no say in the decision (something I’ve since heard is quite common with the company). Work life balance was minimal to none - my team was expected to be in office 8-6 despite being told 9-5 during my interview process. The office is also extremely far away from Charlotte (where they claim to be located during your interview process) so expect to spend 1.5-2 hours a day commuting if you live in the Uptown, Elizabeth, South End, NoDa areas.

Pros

Strong ownership, opportunity to manage people early, great people, nice campus. You will work on interesting problems and external companies. Great training if the space interests you.

Cons

Business future is uncertain, up or out management principles. New senior leaders somewhat disconnected from the day-to-day. Commute from Charlotte is horrible.
