Pros
There’s endless opportunities to advance your skills and make yourself more valuable (and get paid more). It’s great for people who genuinely want a career in consulting because they’ll reimburse you for all your certs and trainings, and once you have them you make more money. Plus, the more you have the more valuable you are (not just to Redbock, but also in the larger job market). It’s a win-win. I’m at a place where I could really get a job anywhere I want, but I prefer to stay here. It feels like home now and I won’t leave unless an insane offer comes along.
Cons
A lot of people complain about micromanagement, but that’s really only the case when you’re first starting out with the company. Once you’ve proven yourself capable of doing your job without messing up, they’ll trust you and back off.
