The engineering part of the company works well. The colleagues are nice, the teams are mature (even if they're a bit unstructured), there's high technical ambitions. Good place to work at to develop as an engineer and consultant.

We're still suffering from founder's syndrome. Nepotism in promotions, autocratic decision making, micromanagement, lack of concrete goals for engineering, etc. If you want to strive towards something higher than your engineering role, it gets complicated.

Cons: Lack of Structural Integrity: There is a significant absence of standardized engineering processes. Expect to navigate a "wild west" environment where technical debt is secondary to optics. For a Senior role, you will spend more time navigating chaos than building scalable solutions. Internal Politics and Favoritism: Upward mobility and influence seem to be dictated more by personal relationships with leadership than by technical merit or performance. This creates a "club" atmosphere that is discouraging for high-performing external hires. Opaque Decision-Making: Strategic shifts and hiring choices often feel "shady" or undocumented. There is little transparency regarding how the roadmap is set or why certain people are placed in positions of power despite a lack of proven expertise. Advice to Management: Implement a merit-based promotion framework and formalize your engineering workflows. Stop relying on "who you know" and start valuing "what you build." Transparency is needed to retain senior-level talent who value integrity and process.
