Pros

Unfortunately few/none come to mind.

Cons

Redshaw Advisors presented a work environment characterised by a toxic culture and a significant lack of support. My colleagues and I often experienced high levels of distress, with no adequate training or resources provided for our roles. There were instances of employees being let go with little notice contribute to a sense of instability and fear within the workplace. Leadership demonstrates limited empathy for employee well-being, with some members of management showing more concern for maintaining their positions than fostering a supportive atmosphere. Whilst one or two of the senior managers were more approachable, many appear primarily focused on personal gain rather than the development of their staff. Despite claims of environmental responsibility, the focus seems to be more on profit generation through trading. A real shame as there were some great individuals at this company (nearly all of whom have now left). Overall, the work culture creates a very negative impact on employees' mental health, shown by their high turnover and a demotivated workforce. I would think twice before accepting a role Redshaw Advisors.

Pros

- CEO and senior management are genuine experts in their field. - Management style that focuses more on positive feedback. - Excellent opportunity to learn about carbon markets while being surrounded by experts who are truly committed. - Human-sized company where entrepreneurial thinking is rewarded. - The company has evolved significantly over the past four years and continues to move in the right direction. Overall, a very strong experience. Proud to have been part of the journey.

Cons

- Not the right place for anyone looking for a quiet 9-to-5 — you need to bring your A-game. - Extremely competitive sector and suited only for those who are persistent and resilient. - High levels of autonomy, proactivity, and commitment are essential for long-term success in this demanding role.

Pros

Having been here a year now, I can enthusiastically endorse RA as a great place to work. Friendly team, with a real focus on improvement in both the products and services we deliver, the growth and change in the company since even I arrived has been impressive. There’s a sense that the company is maturing, with new processes, new strategic objectives, and moves into new global markets. Combine all of this with the wealth of deep market experience and desire to lead the change at senior levels, and there’s a real sense that there’s something building.

Cons

The company is undergoing considerable internal change, with the growing pains this entails. There are still old processes and habits that need to be changed or discarded, and hangovers from previous attempts to grow that need to be moved past.
