The workload for one individual is insane, there were two QA’s before me, one was promoted, one retired…and they expected me to do an insane work load by myself. I was terminated before my 90 days, I was ready to quit twice before that, so the feeling was mutual. HR said my “skills and contributions” were not a fit, and they are right. My skills are beyond this position, the job in itself was not challenging, the workload was. The QA has so many duties and gets requests from so many different people daily, too many Chiefs. It’s a bit of a cut throat industry, not for me. I like a variety of duties and work more efficiently with minimal supervision. I pity the individual who takes this position, or they thrive on the chaos. I think the people who didn’t show up after they were hired, knew something.
