Pros
In my specific office, I enjoyed working with the people at my location.
Cons
I worked for this company for over a year. I was moved to a different law partner multiple times, mostly because of turnover in other positions and not because of poor performance or work product. This was done without my input or regard. Recently, my workload was doubled as another employee left. The office knew this employee was leaving for over a month and chose not to announce that I would be absorbing her duties until after their departure. It was poorly managed. I was given a review at my one-year date, of which I did not receive a raise. Not because of performance, but nobody in my office received a raise at all. Corporate came up with BS excuses about how we weren't meeting billable metrics - paralegals are expected to bill 150-160 hours monthly. This is in line with how much an associate attorney is expected to bill. This means I would have to bill 7 hours daily to achieve this. For our office, we handled other admin tasks on top of paralegal duties like our attorneys bills for example. I was also there for over a year and was told I had to wait an extra 6 months to receive a 401k. In my past professional experience, it is unheard of to wait a year and a half for a 401k. No bonuses until you are employed for one year. Only 2 weeks of vacation, which only goes up after you are employed for 5 years. Vacation includes sick time, personal time, religious time, etc. No short-term disability for support staff, and no post-partum leave. It became blatantly clear that the company does not care about its support staff. I would find a company that actually cares about you. I would also dare to say that the company may not be in a good financial position given that they did not provide raises.
