Pros

There were no pros of the job itself.

Cons

1. There are no advocates for assistants within the company. No one to go to if you have an advisor that gets upset when questions or issues arise. 2. Training at the onset of being onboarded is quite bad. 2. No company-wide structure (bonus structure, learning programs, etc.) as it relates to an assistant’s growth within their current role or opportunities for career advancement within the company, but there are plenty for advisors. 3. There is next to no diversity and no efforts to change that 4. There is no protocol for how advisors are able to treat assistants and staff. Due to this, many things go without being addressed.

Pros

Great leadership and support when starting your career as an advisor. They truly want to see you succeed.

Cons

No cons with the company. If you are going to build your own book, this is the place to do it! The first couple of years are a grind but rewarding.

Pros

The culture at Renaissance is truly incredible and the people are amazing.

Cons

While there is a lot of support for young advisors to start their career, it can also feel a bit turn and burn if they don't come out of the gate flying.
