Pros
The employees here are friendly and are willing to help me in any aspects, whether it's design related or not. They are also very understanding and I feel at ease as an intern here. During this internship, I was given the opportunity to work on the initial stages of a project, attend client presentation and visit sites. The company provides room for growth and development while still offering guidance. I was able to explore different aspects of design with support from my boss and supervisor. The boss is always open to questions and uncertainties, and he gives wholehearted advice and responses, which have been invaluable throughout my internship.
Cons
Working in this company requires independence and self-discipline. Given different tasks as an intern, you need to have the initiative to ask if you have any doubt and be responsible of the tasks. While some tasks will be related to your course or job scope, you may also receive unexpected tasks. On top of that, the company operates on a 5.5-day workweek so you would have to sacrifice half of your Saturdays and also be prepared for overtime even as an intern. To me, as long as you enter the company with an open-mind and willingness to learn, there wouldn't be any major issues.
