Management by fear. Managers have no idea what they're asking their consultant's to do and how insane it is. Company and management provide no assistance, tools, or efficiencies (just technology from 1990) and expect staff to do work faster, more, and faster. 1st level managers and above have completely lost touch with day to day reality. management is paranoid secretive, so as they don't tell staff about any changes until the last minute. Management trust is very low and manager support pathetic. Management forces an every man for themselves culture. PhD and Masters' level coaches treated by management as replaceable hourly call center staff. the company's IT problems are ridiculous and over the past 5 years has caused 100's of hours of extra work, that staff are expected to absorb. No communication amongst the group. Managers actually ignore staff emails and calls and are indifferent, condescending and smug.
