Pros
RightData has quite a few things going for it — let’s start with the team. In my time here I’ve found that the people are amazing. Everyone is willing to help out however they can and they are actually trying to assist, not compete with you. Sounds minor, but I’ve found this often isn’t the case in tech. And the leadership, specifically Vasu, is amazing! A really nice balance of visionary tempered by reality. I enjoy the way he goes out of his way to include people, make sure differing voices aren’t trampled, and everyone is heard. Of all the companies that talk about how “people are our #1 asset”, this is a company that truly believes and acts that way. And the product! In a space (data pipelines & infrastructure) that’s cluttered with point solution tools that are expensive and need a bunch of experts to operate, RightData is the exception. It’s an integrated, no-code platform that does everything a data team needs, from intake to deliver of data products. Oh, and it’s less expensive than alternatives and is used by much of the Fortune 500. Great team, great leaders, great product.
Cons
Like any start-up, you’ll wear a lot of hats here. There’s more work than people and you’ll often find you’re paving a new path vs executing the same thing every day. If that’s not you, you’d be happier somewhere else.
