Pros

Benefits are great. Salaries are on good level. Culture & values are great on paper, but not followed.

Cons

In the beginning, under the former leadership team, things were going well and the company was moving in a positive direction. However, towards the end of 2023, the situation started to decline and unfortunately hasn’t improved since. One of the current CEOs appears to focus primarily on the product side, and unfortunately, equal and fair treatment across the organization seems to be lacking. Well, if you work on the product side and are able to establish a good relationship with the CEO, you may be offered a competitive salary, attractive perks, and plenty of opportunities. Fair..? However, the people side of the business feels significantly under-prioritized, with leadership seemingly focused mainly on financial metrics. Can we really blame them for that, given the pressures companies face today? But, if other companies can focus on the people too at the same time, I think Rightware could do that as well if the leadership shows the example and would want to do that.

Pros

For unexperienced developers this can be a decent opportunity to ramp up skills quickly if you are willing to put in the hours and are self-driven. Tech is pretty cool and some of the graphics people are highly competent.

Cons

Mentorship in this company is a joke and no opportunities are provided for further developing your skills through trainings or seminars. There are only handful of people who always go to seminars but the same opportunities are not provided for everyone. Product releases or successful sales are not celebrated with the whole company. Only senior management and sales do yearly party trips which they then collect everyone to watch presentations of. Overtime and weekends are common in both design and some of the R&D. Some VPs are known to resist compensating these. There is lack of transparency in options program and rumors that the senior management keeps on hoarding lion’s share. Communication from senior management is astonishingly awful, awkward at best and they are definitely racist and sexist.

Pros

Great colleagues Good management Freedom Opportunity to advance or find your niche Flat hierarchy

Cons

One of the worst and least competent CEO's I've ever seen. Treats other people from China preferentially. Has of course employed his wife at the company. Has reportedly preformed actions of questionable legality and morality. Only in the position he is due to Chinese owners and board members.
