Pros

In my five years at Robin, I have seen a lot of changes. Yes, there have been ups and downs, good quarters, not so good quarters, happy customers, not so happy customers, interesting work, not so interesting work, the best of times, the worst of times. As we begin 2022, this year marks the third year of the pandemic. How is it that in the midst of the great reshuffle, our team has not lost a single engineer? To quote one of my favorites, Tom Mendoza, "Adversity reveals character." And, it is during these past few years that our employers have revealed theirs. So, while most of you have chosen to leave, all of us have stayed on. To summarize pros: o Good people and a good environment where you can focus on the work o Creative freedom and autonomy o Access to all engineers and management up and down the chain

Cons

Typical of most smaller private companies, the benefits could be better.

Pros

You are given the freedom and support to take control of your role and I have not seen any instances of micromanagement. The leadership team is clear with objectives. There are opportunities for career growth. It is encouraged and supported, with actions, by management. You are never told to stay in your lane and are encouraged to branch out. You are encouraged to be able to work independently, but you are never on your own and peer review well supported. Good cooperation between, engineering, sales, product management, customer success and product management teams. No politics or playing games. Frequent and clear communications from management team, with transparency. There is a strong sense of working together to build a successful company, customer appreciation and brand leadership in the community. Everything you do, every day, has impact.

Cons

The job is not a grind, but Robin is a small, growing company with some big time customers. So there are times where you will need to work off hours or longer hours. Also listed in the Pro section "Everything you do, every day, has impact." So you need to expect to be sharp, thorough and do your best work every day, on every task. This is job for motivated people.
