Pros
Nice Glider trucks, Peterbilt 389's and Freightliner Coronado's governed at 75 mph or more
Cons
The pay isn't just bad, it's disrespectful. They will tell you it's 25% when it's really between 10% - 11% of the line haul. You will gross $1800 and walk away with an $800 check. They expect you to push the limits or go over of your 11 hour and 70 hour clock. Pay isn't worth the risk. 500plus mile dead head usually. And your the one doing their job of writing everything down on there home made company BOL's of you ask for a rate con for the load your on they will tell you it's against their company policy to share that with you. So how do you figure out what your getting paid? You have to ask them and they will feed you some insignificant number they claim they will pay you. If you want to lease, you need to put down 10% of the trucks estimated cost. Of course you would never make the amount as a company driver, and if company drivers get paid so bad, why would you want to lease? I made more as a yard dog every week and home every night. So why would I stay out for 3 to 4 weeks away from my family for $800???
