Pros

You work 4 ten hr days so if you have side jobs you have Fri, sat, and Sunday to work them.

Cons

You're to be at work between 6:00 and 6:15 to get your truck ready to go out for the day. So you clock in at 6 and start working but you don't get paid for that time. Your time doesn't count till 6:30. Russell charges you extremely high amounts for your uniforms, hats, sweatshirts etc. There not just covering costs there making money on the stuff you have to buy from them and wear daily. The management doesn't encourage, motivate, lead or do anything in a positive manor. They threaten and bully. As an example in the morning meeting they'll say stuff like well I see we had some people call in sick. I'll remember that next round of cuts. We are told at least once a week . That there's people lined up that want a job. And that we can all just stay home. They'd replace us that day. All types of marks along those lines. This is being said to the whole branch probably 30 people. I've worked at multiple other landscaping companies non have had the extremely high turnover rate that Russell has. That goes for management to not just labors. People come and go here like the wind.

Pros

I learned the basics of prepping a bed, planting, and maintaining flower. I also gained knowledge of how a successful landscaping company is ran, managed, and organized.

Cons

There were no cons. I just would not recommend someone who does not work well in 85-100 degree weather to take a crew member position in the summer time.
