Pros
Friendly colleagues and good location, decent benefits
Cons
Welfare here is performative at best. Everyone on the research side is heavily overworked with colleagues falling sick left and right. The work is demanding with many tight deadlines and requires a lot of OT, so be prepared to sacrifice your personal time. Management expects you to keep overloading yourself despite exceeding KPIs, with little consideration for existing workloads. Even when raising poor work life balance and trying to ask for help, was brushed off and told that it was good to build my resilience. The bar to get promoted is unrealistically high, and they will make it sound like it's your fault as they keep shifting the goalpost whenever they want while putting a cap on progression opportunities. Some in management are outright rude and unempathetic towards staff, and refuse to change their mindset or be apologetic for their inappropriate behaviour.
