Horrendous company - Technician S3 Science Employee Review

be aware they will sell you a complete different story in your interview. the team members that are there apart from the manager are so helpful and are willing to do a lot to help/ train you. and support you.

I have never wrote a review like this before but i feel i have to after the way i was treated at this company. If you have any financial commitments please do not join this company as if they decide they do not like you they will dismiss you and give no explanation just a 10 second long conversation firing you. with no prior warning or indication. I have never been at a job before that I have seen as many employees cry than this job. I think the environment is very toxic and the management needs looking at. what impression does it give if your manager talks bad about and about wanting to get rid of people who have been there a lot longer than you in your first few days of working there. There’s also a clear issue with employee turnover. Had I known this was a regular occurrence, I would have reconsidered staying with the company. The lack of communication regarding job security is a major red flag, and it’s disappointing that I wasn’t informed of the culture surrounding employee treatment before I committed my time and trust. If you are looking to join this company remember that you are just a number to them and they will see past all the hard work you put in and dismiss you whilst having a smile on their face and without an explanation (even after asking for one). so do not invest your time in this company as they only care about making figures rather than employees wellbeing. the post they made on their instagram about mental health importance is completely false. All i can say is do not put your trust into this company as the manager Will talk about every single one of his employees behind their backs. If you join this company take a look at the team. the employees they have have been there 2 years, 4 years and 6 months. just have a think about where all the people inbetween are.

I got employed for s3 in October 2023 and at the time of typing this, April 2024, I have neither received a placement, nor am I in communication as attempts to reach out have been consistently ignored. Communication was quite frequent in the beginning but slowly but surely it began to diminish. I had only received one offer for a placement which I had not been updated about until almost a month later to say i hadn’t gotten the role. I had received one other but that one was not successful due to no fault of the s3. I would prefer to be formally let go at the very least, but even that seems impossible as I cannot get ahold of anybody, including the staff that said they would “try to support me moving forward”. It seemed like a great company to work at and I was extremely excited to work for a life science company, but I have been greatly disappointed.
