Pros
There is a reason that SAS continues to be one of the great places to work year after year. A lot has to do with the benefits that are afforded to the Cary, NC. employees, most of which are available to visiting company members as well. Cons
One of the things that makes SAS a great place to work, the longevity of its employees, can also be seen as a con as well. There are pockets of ridged process workers that have been at SAS for 20+ years that believe that they exist from a corporate perspective for the field to serve them. What is actually needed is a balance of the field and corporate to understand that neither exists without the other. Those same corporate people are also sometimes viewed as not understanding how the world has evolved. Somehow a fresh dose of how business has changed over the past 20 years needs to be instilled so SAS can work as an agile partner to its customers
