Pros

- Basic benefits and HMO provided - First half of working here was amazing, I am very grateful for the experience. They will consider the career path you want, they cultivated a good culture. BUT recently, everything took a turn and I never would’ve expected having strong ill feelings about the company.

Cons

Starting with the general manager - very inconsiderate, strict, micromanaging, manipulative, twists the story, will always tell you how everything affects him, how he is hurt by our actions, him him him. It’s as if the people under him are not being affected by all the mess. If you want to experience having a toxic manipulative relationship, he is the manager for you. His “yes” men will do the same, take part in the culture he is trying to influence within the company. Just a note too, once you leave, the GM will blame you for the current mess. Be prepared to be talked about badly once you leave. The people who left did their best despite the high demands and heavy workload , they trained people and contributed so much to the company, and for what? Just to be talked badly about in the end? Workload & manpower - they expect you to do great every time despite being put down, demotivated, called unprofessional and lacking in skill. When people leave they do not look for a replacement right away, they are only looking now because the attrition rate is rapidly increasing and few of us are just left. Up until now they don’t get it, they wonder why people are leaving? Hmmm… I also wonder??? They do not understand the time and effort it takes just to accomplish our tasks. They presume that some tasks will only take 30 min to 1 hour wherein it takes up most of the day. They give super tight deadlines for side projects and process improvement without considering other tasks needed to be prioritized. I get it, we have to make changes to improve, but assess the situation first and how it will be approached. Leaves & Workload - they say it’s highly encouraged but they always blame the sickleaves for the backlog. However there’s not much of a difference, workload is still heavy with or without that. People who file for sick and VLs do due diligence and catch up with their tasks. So if they keep blaming the sickleaves maybe in the first place they never made an allowance when computing for the number of people to hire. Career growth/nature of work - It is a fast paced environment, and you’ll definitely learn. However, the skilled people with years of experience have left and are continuously leaving. I know you have to seek learnings on your own but it’s different when you have mentors. I would’ve flourished more if the environment was encouraging, less stressful and of course if there are mentors who stay. Culture - the work culture is going backwards, the goal is money and appearing good in the facade. They want you to voice out, but once you do you they place the blame on others or your team, in other words “It’s your fault in the first place that’s why you’re encountering this issue” or “You are twisting the narrative, that is not what we’re saying”. Gaslighting is so prevalent. Wrong type of callout culture is promoted. They don’t mind if you have to work OTs. They will only recognize the feedback if it’s relevant to making money or improving the process, but once there’s a human factor already, they get defensive and will only take action if you back it up with data. You won’t feel that they care for your mental health, your personal life or your well-being. A lot of hypocrisy also happens. Meetings that take up hours of your day are still occurring despite people already complaining about it. They see meetings as a way to solve all problems, but topics are repetitive and other convos are useless to the agenda. What if we balance that and let us actually do the work?

Pros

HMOs, great teammates, work from home

Cons

Lead - The team lead is unaware of the work processes involved with the team she manages. The team has never received any input from her when it comes to upskilling and coaching. For a content team lead, her command of the English language is questionable. I also can't stand her abrasive attitude which probably stems from lack of empathy or intelligence. Here are her issues: - Frequently moves meeting schedules without giving the team a heads-up. - Forwards emails without context; only includes "FYI" - Assigns tasks that are beyond my job description - Has no idea how to check each team member's work log - Micromanages - Grabs credit from the entire team when clients send a thank you email HR has no sympathy towards employee grievances. Treats employees like disposable people. Account managers who handle clients have no proper training, so they are prone to mistakes like not providing client info and instructions. General manager - This company has been a joke since he took over.
