Pros
There are some good, positive people. They do offer some fun events, if you aren't too busy to attend. Benefits and Holidays are competitive. There is potential to be an awesome company. Some departments seem like they have it pretty good.
Cons
Where to begin: don't be fooled by the Positive reviews written by HR and upper management. You aren't fooling anyone. You are hired with rose colored glasses with everyone on their best behavior faking how happy they are working here. After a few months the glasses come off and you see there is a repressive cloud of negativity, horrible morale and constant rumors of layoffs and downsizing. People don't interact. Everyone works in their silos with no knowledge sharing. You realize months after working on a project that multiple teams were working on the same project with no resolution. You can be the smartest, brightest, most dedicated hard working individual and you will never get ahead. There is no vision. Management are constantly having ego battles and low level employees become scapegoats for continually failing to hit growth levels. They frown on working remotely as big brother can't keep his eye on you and make sure you clock in on time. You would think a media company would be forward thinking and they will give lip service that they are, but when it comes down to it, the culture is more akin to a 90s totalitarian office.
