Pros

Some of the best co-workers you could work with. They paint themselves as a "cool" employer with fun perks like a weekly mandatory happy hour, so they do draw in incredible talent and good people. You'll be proud of the work you produce because they turn out some really innovative and exciting projects. Great location in hip South Tampa SoHo area.

Cons

They don't truly value their employees and their opinions; stir the pot too much and you are considered highly replaceable by a fresh college grad that will work for pennies. They compensate their upper management handsomely, and make up for it by paying laughable wages to the workhorses in the creative and operational roles. If you mess up on something - even something minor - but it ruffles the feathers of the president, your days are numbered. He also doesn't like people who question his methods or opinion, even for the benefit of the agency at large. Basically, no matter how long you've been there, how close you are with the team, or how talented you may be - job security is nil. So while culture is pretty great, company values leave a lot to be desired. They HAVE "core values", they just don't stick to them very well.

Pros

Diverse projects but this is largely due to the nature of agency settings and is not necessarily unique to SPARK.

Cons

Office politics is putting it lightly... Weaponized performance reviews and aggressive power dynamics make SPARK a highly toxic, emotionally abusive working environment. Turnover is rampant and clients are constantly complaining and eventually leaving, and justifiably so. They make promises they can't deliver on and make their well-meaning, hardworking employees lower on ladder their scapegoats. And even worse, when you work 60-70+ hour weeks, they still maintain that you're not doing enough, even going so far as to say "if you're not working 100 hour weeks, what are you even doing?" I wish I was kidding. Zero process. Zero support. Do not apply here if you value your mental health.
