Pros

The work is consistent, fairly easy data entry, digital imaging, indexing, researching records, and communicating with the client (a disability insurance company). The on-site management is good to us- they let us work independently, and we hardly hear from or see upper management.

Cons

The pay is on the lower side for the volume we're expected to produce, with little expectation for it to grow. Few opportunities for career growth. The benefits are horrible. We contract for a disability insurance but aren't offered any ourselves. Many employees opt out of health insurance or go to the Healthcare Martketplace because they can get it there cheaper. PTO is an absolute joke. Oh, and I just realized they don't pay for maternity/paternity leave!

We are happy that you shared the pros working for SPS and we also feel that our colleagues make the difference. We are also happy that you had a positive experience with your on-site managers. Our top management is also making an effort visiting may sites, have regular Townhall meetings so we feel especially sorry that you these did not meet your expectations. We also appreciate your feedback on salaries. As an employer, we closely monitor living costs and economic conditions across different regions. Our compensation aims to motivate employees and align with market rates, expertise levels, and job roles within our company. We’re committed to improving and meeting expectations.

Pros

I haven’t found many. The clients are better to work for than SPS.

Cons

Seemed to be good at first but quickly realizing the leaders of this organization say one thing but do another. Every is on edge working here. People get fired constantly and no one mentions it. They say they’re people first but that’s furthest from the truth. Years of being here and no raise and made to feel like I should be grateful when they don’t have any gratitude for the people working with the actual clients. Give you a paper certificate and pin for years of service. What a joke!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your contributions to SPS over the past several years. We are disappointed to learn that your experience has not reflected the culture and values we strive to create. We recognize that trust, transparency, recognition, and opportunities for growth play an important role in the employee experience, and we continuously evaluate how we can strengthen these areas across our organization. While experiences may vary, feedback from long-tenured employees is particularly valuable as it helps us better understand where we are succeeding and where we have opportunities to improve. We remain committed to fostering a workplace where employees feel supported, respected, and connected to our purpose. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We appreciate your time with SPS and wish you continued success.
