Pros

-Good people who do work there, only some are truly nice. -Location was close. -Flexible on working from home.

Cons

-Pay is less compared to the work you do. -Directors volunteer their team to do more work to make themselves look better and get the bigger bonus and pay raise. -The bonuses and annual salary raises are horrible. -People are chatty and talk bad about you if you make mistakes. -Immature managers and not good leadership. -The structure within certain departments are terrible. -The training process in certain departments are not good and you barely learn and are expected to be perfect at your job. -You will only get promoted if you suck up to the higher leadership, if you don’t you will never get promoted or they hire externally and don’t care if you have the knowledge and experience. -Work 40 plus hours, upper manager does not care about work life balance, they expect you to work 24/7.

Pros

Working at STERIS has been a rewarding experience, especially if you’re someone who isn’t afraid to put in the effort. One of the biggest advantages is that your earning potential is directly tied to the amount of work you put in. If you’re motivated, proactive, and willing to take on responsibility, you can truly earn great money here. The company gives you the opportunity to grow, learn, and take on more whenever you’re ready. It’s a place where hard work is recognized and often rewarded, making it a strong fit for people who enjoy being in control of their own success. If you’re driven and want a job where your hustle actually shows up in your paycheck, STERIS is a solid choice.

Cons

On the downside, the job can be challenging due to frequent product shortages, which makes it difficult to meet customer needs and hit goals especially when there’s little support from corporate to resolve these issues. Another major frustration is that when you take vacation, you're still working, because there’s no real backup to cover your territory. The role also requires a lot of travel, which can be demanding and exhausting over time. Lastly, promotions are few and far between, so career advancement can feel slow despite strong performance. Overall: STERIS can be a great place for someone who wants control over their earnings and doesn’t mind putting in significant effort. However, lack of support, constant travel, and limited growth opportunities may make it challenging for long‑term satisfaction.
