Pros

The company name carries weight on a CV, and I got exposure to enterprise tools and workflows. A few colleagues were helpful on a personal level when I asked for support, and there is a stable corporate structure.

Cons

My onboarding was not structured: I didn’t receive a clear ramp-up plan, defined expectations, or someone accountable for getting me productive. My job responsibilities were not clearly defined, and I often had to guess what “good” looked like. The team worked mostly in firefighting mode (reacting to issues) instead of setting up proactive systems, standards, and prevention. When problems happened, the focus felt more like assigning blame than improving the process. That created a stressful environment where accountability flows downward, and employees can become the “problem” instead of the underlying system being fixed.
