Pros

- I was paid well. Above average for being in the UK and fully remote. Pay was, quite literally, the only benefit of working here. - I guess the CEO is fine...? Never met him. Saw him on some videos once and he seems nice.

Cons

- 'Work in any way', until it's not convenient for them anymore. They say you can 'work in any way', so our team decided to work condensed four day weeks. After a little while they decided it wasn't convenient for them anymore, so they changed their mind. It's certainly not 'work in any way', don't believe it. - They hired lots of people in a very short period of time with the mindset of 'more people, more money'. They had no clue what these people were going to do, so teams are just told 'work it out for yourselves' & 'do discovery', with almost no input from leadership. - They have no clue what to build. Leadership have zero input, product leadership have no clue. Teams are left to it with the attitude of 'just make us money'. - Almost zero benefits. Government minimum pension contribution, government minimum holiday allowance. They don't give you anything above minimum, so make sure your salary is well above average if they offer something to you. - The role was very different from what was described in the interview and in my contract. I was unhappy from day one with the job, and stayed just because they'd pay me more than the competition. In retrospect, I should have just left ages ago. I felt forced out in the end, but I was happy for the nudge to find something better.

We have invested in strengthening our product team, training and development which has had a great impact on product performance, delivering value to our customers. Work In Any Way means more than just the schedule in which you work, and it is unique to each Guardian and Safeguard Global position. There needs to be mutual flexibility and respect for Work In Any Way to work successfully, and both business needs as well as personal needs should be met. In this case, the outcome of the 4-day working week trial concluded that it didn’t align to the needs of the business. We take your feedback regarding benefits on board, it is important to us that all guardians feel appreciated and rewarded.
