Pros

I enjoyed every day working in the SG. The management is highly professional with one of the best company structure & family oriented.

Cons

I assure that people who value corporate cultures and flexibility in work will value this company. Just be a professional, bring result to the table and active mind personality. Company takes care of their employees.

Pros

Executive management has vision and maintains regular venues for communication. The company is growing --- but oh those growing pains! My experience was primarily as a contributor to the claims department. This review is limited to that area. Claims processing system was updated during my tenure which allowed more accurate and effective reporting. I am an independent self-starter and that was a definite asset in fulfilling my daily tasks.

Cons

Growth spurt makes for challenges for the outdated processes. Claims management could use great improvements in frequent and clear communication, regular competency assessments, training and consistent corrective action plans . Morale was low when I was there- partly perhaps due to cliques with some managers/supervisors. There is inconsistent understanding of basic claim terminology and definitions, i.e: contractual obligations, benefit classification, coding, appeals and related adjudication codes. My unit was not included in staff meetings- which can add confusion and delays in a production environment. Our team did not recieve timely responses from management for requests for direction or clarification. Multiple Emails for repetitive issues were not replied to.

Pros

Health Benefits were pretty good at this European-based company, but I was told that employees are not eligible for 401K until after 1 year. Profit sharing at the end of every quarter was a great benefit, manager bought lunch often for employees. Felt that direct office manager really cared about staff. Beautiful office. Open office format where everyone can shoot ideas off each other or ask for help

Cons

Computer system at the time was awful. Looked like it came out of 1990s. Slowed everything down and files took easily 2-3 times longer than they would have with a better system. Because of this, unnecessary long hours were sometimes required.
