Pros
Strong engineering culture. REALLY good people on the engineering, product, and UX side. Also strong recruiters who can attract top talent. Career tracks for software engineers to either go into management or continue to be technical. European based so no set meetings after 17:00...Challenging problems and actually can do some good - saving local journalism - which is good for democracy and needed for an industry in peril - I like the ambition level - not just internally but how to impact the industry at large.
Cons
Relatively slow moving compared to other high tech companies. Disruptive transformation showed courage, but slow to roll out changes. Will be better when everyone is on board and really going in the same direction. A little too much focus on internal things and should focus more on larger market opportunities. The good news is that things are getting better and more foundation is in place.
