No room to grow, unfortunately

Salary and benefits were favorable compared to similar sized companies in the industry.

The company culture is horrible. It truly is a place with the corporate mindset where profit and upper management are put much higher than their employees. Their practices are outdated and inflexible, and it cost them numerous great employees in few years I worked there. There is little to no room for growth and that doesn't seem to bother management because they don't seem to value anyone enough to try to foster opportunities for their growth and advancement. There was a negative relationship between the sales and operations teams that management did nothing to mend or improve. Instead, they exacerbated the issues and created an even more negative environment. Lastly, micromanagement was through the roof, but the management in the US was far less guilty of this than the entire team headquartered in Singapore was. I saw emails and attended meetings where employees at the bottom of the totem pole in the Singapore office were rude, authoritative and combative with literal VPs from other offices of the company and it was seemingly just accepted because "that's headquarters". I would not recommend if you are: * Under 50 * Don't want to work for a company whose management is akin to a good ole boys club * Want to work for a company that cares about and supports your growth * Don't enjoy being micromanaged and talked down to If you want to do menial work, are content to do that until you retire and have no interest in career growth, Seaco may be for you!
