Pros

From my first interview, I was informed that this role is fast-paced and sales driven. No surprises here, it's recruiting after all! I appreciated this transparency throughout the process, and it only instilled more confidence in me as I accepted an offer. You are told to trust the process and they are correct; SSG embraces old and new school recruiting methods. You may find that certain methods work better for you, and at the end of the day, your results will speak for themself and show management you have what it takes to be successful in this industry. There can be a stigma in recruiting as a whole that there is not room for personal relationships (whether its clients, candidates, or peers) but that just isn't true. This industry is defined by highs and lows, and it has been my peers who have lifted me up and shared their own wins and failures that have me continuing a career here. Some of the most genuine team members I have had the pleasure of working with work here at SSG. Lastly, regarding your relationship with management, seek help when you need it. Leaders and peers might not know you need guidance or inspiration if you do not seek it, especially in a hybrid type of environment. Anytime I have needed help, my manager and my peers quickly pitch in to brainstorm and support. In short, SSG is helping me continue to grow confident in my professional abilities, and I have appreciate the support and work, life, balance they have given me.

Cons

If you have a tendency to feel anxious, you will feel that a bit in this role if sales is new to you. Best way to counteract it? Get a routine going, find what works for you, and find your recruiting style. You do not learn in this role without DOING the role. "Training" as in solely watching or observing someone do a process is short, BUT you can continue to do this at anytime in the process (circling back to when you ask for help, you get it). Even if you don't feel 100% ready to make your first connection, go for it, and learn from it This industry is metrics driven. Numbers (calls, LI messages, emails) will track your progress in addition to the quality of the candidates your bring to the table. You can't find these folks without reaching out to them, after all!

Pros

An Incredible Company That Truly Cares About Its People Search Solution Group is an exceptional place to work. Over my nearly ten years with the company, I have primarily worked remotely, and management has consistently provided me with everything I need to succeed. What truly sets this company apart is that leadership genuinely cares about its employees. A few years ago, I had to take medical leave for over a year. The support and empathy I received from the entire organization during that difficult time was truly humbling. When I was ready to return, the team worked diligently alongside me to ensure a smooth, seamless transition back into my role. The leadership team has built a culture that champions hard work and grit, and the entire workforce feeds off that positive energy and dedication. I couldn't be prouder to be a part of this team.

Cons

This can be a highly challenging industry if you aren't willing to put in the time and effort required to succeed. Success here demands a high level of intrinsic motivation; effort and dedication are baseline requirements, and they can't be taught.
