Pros
After going through 2 of my own startups that didn't make it prior to joining SearchForce, I was looking for something stable without all the corporate beaurocracy. I was glad I found it in SearchForce. They did not have any issue with my age (48 when I applied) as many companies do in Silicon Valley.
I enjoyed my time there and especially all of those I worked with. I have several lifelong friends I can take away from this. The company supported me through some very tough personal journeys I had with my family. They were all extremely compassionate and supportive during these times.
The product itself is pretty cool. We were constantly being tested by clients against our competition and it felt good that we beat out the competition consistently.
It's a boutique company with the possibility of an M&A. So if you are looking for a more personal place to work then this could be a great choice for you.
Cons
Like any complicated software company, there are software issues that come up and if they are going to affect a client you can expect to put in extra time to fix the problem asap. They are very focused on keeping their clients happy.
Because they are a small company there may not be the same type of career opportunities as a Google or Facebook. But you also don't get lost in the shuffle and can make a name for yourself based on your work. You are noticed, good or bad, by senior management.
I was told before they hired me that they don't hire a**holes and that is not the way they manage their company. Everyone needs to work well together.
