Pros

The Victoria office is quite a friendly environment and honestly speaking it does feel very welcoming.

Cons

Perhaps at times it can be a little disorganised but generally always pulls through in the end.

Pros

Seat Unique has identified a significant gap in the market and is capitalizing on it impressively. This is evident in the our remarkable headcount and revenue growth since its inception, which has been further validated by prestigious awards for growth from Deloitte and Sifted. Being part of a fast-paced company like Seat Unique brings many advantages, and here are some standout benefits I love about working at Seat Unique: – Rapid and Varied Learning: A hands-on approach with opportunities to take on diverse responsibilities and ‘wear multiple hats,’ which allows for a more unconventional career progression that can follow your interests and skills. – Exceptional Talent: With highly skilled staff and advisors, as highlighted on the website. With decades of industry experience, these individuals provide both inspiration and strategic guidance for the business. – Innovative and Fast-Paced Culture: Minimal bureaucracy means fewer layers of sign-offs and red tape, allowing employees to have a meaningful impact and push for improvements (so long as they’re well-justified). – Exciting Industry: Working in live events offers exposure to the Premier League, Formula 1, live gigs, and more. It’s a thrilling and rapidly growing sector to be part of and makes work enjoyable & interesting. – Embracing Mistakes & Mastering Execution: There is a clear mission & a culture that facilitates successful execution of that mission. The company also encourages learning through mistakes, fostering both personal and professional development. – Stock Options: Getting stock options in a massively growing company is always a nice touch too, albeit only valid upon exit. In summary, it's fast, you learn, you progress, it's exciting, and I would have no hesitation recommending Seat Unique as an employer. It’s been an excellent career move for myself, very excited for the future.

Cons

Only one thing that might be considered a "con" by some, but I personally see it as individual preferences to evaluate before joining: – In-Office Culture: This is a mostly in-office business, which was a change for me. However, the Victoria office environment is modern and thoughtfully designed, featuring clean and sleek spaces, standing desks, well-equipped meeting rooms, access to a small gym with high-quality equipment & showers, coffee machines, and regular Ocado deliveries with fancy breakfasts, yoghurts, fruits, and more. This is my first in-office role since COVID, and I can clearly see the benefits for the business—particularly in terms of collaboration and agility. Two things that are essential for industry-disrupting. So, be prepared to commit to both the office culture and the team (and it’s worth noting that the team is fantastic, with everyone getting along well and the culture is solid). If you’re committed to your career and enjoy an in-office environment, this is exactly where you want to be. Perhaps 1-2 days per month from home would be nice; however there is some ad hoc flexibility when needed. Honestly, the pros FAR outweigh this, so personally, I have no issue committing to what works for the business's success and enjoy seeing the team as it allows for great teamwork

Pros

-Exciting Fast Growing Start Up - Various Perks to jobs - Lots of social events and outings - Good Office and facilities -Defiantly going places in the future

Cons

-Little to no training - Your sold that your not just a number but that's all you are - There's no processes to anything in place - Very high turnover of staff, unless your part of the management's prawn sandwich brigade you don't feel much job security - it's almost like they are scared of sacking you so just do it randomly in the afternoon on a chosen day with minimal explanation. It's strange because it's a young company who preach about mental health etc... but then they not afraid to just leave you one afternoon without a job and have minimal contact after. - every social event is revolved around drinking -In certain roles people work extremely hard and are expected to work after / outside of hours, others honestly are in the most pointless roles and just spend all day making coffee. -Staff not afraid to go behind you back and make negative comments when they have never spoken to you. -The management staff themselves are like the suites cast from Wish -Most of the staff spend time moaning about the managers, but just play the game because of the fear that's installed in you by how they dismiss people. - not my specific area but I don't need to be an expert to know the sales manager is zero to little knowledge of how to manager and made some very questionable remarks. - Once they realise your face does not fit the business they just cut you out, people don't reply to your work email/slacks. -In terms of just people management it's really poor which is a shame because some employees are looked after very well, but you might work as hard as you can if your not the right person for them then you get isolated and cut out.
