Pros
The best part of working at Sectigo was the people. I was fortunate to be surrounded by a talented and supportive group who made the work environment enjoyable.
Cons
Unfortunately, there were significant challenges during my time at the company. The leadership often relied on a fear-based management style, which caused many valuable employees to leave. There also seemed to be clear discrimination against the Canadian office, where employees were monitored excessively, creating a stressful and distrustful environment. The vacation policy was another issue. When I joined, I was offered three weeks of vacation, but this was later reduced to two weeks for everyone. HR introduced this change as part of a "flexible" policy, but the way it was communicated during a meeting was deeply unprofessional. The HR representative explaining the changes was dismissive and mean-spirited, making faces and showing clear disdain for employees who asked questions or sought clarification. Additionally, operational challenges, such as delays in rolling out patches, were a consistent frustration. These issues, combined with the problematic behavior within the HR department (including gossiping and unprofessional conduct), created a difficult and disheartening work environment. While I appreciated the team I worked with and learned a lot during my time here, these systemic issues made it hard to thrive. Prospective employees should weigh these factors carefully before joining.
