Pros
This company still refers to itself as a startup after multiple years of existence and multiple open blood centers, which attracts a number of people that are highly passionate, skilled, and hard-working. Coworkers care about you and have your back.
Cons
Although many smart people are working there, multiple areas of the business are notably behind the others. These areas feel as though they were built by someone who had no idea what the department did, which leaves the department trying to clean up as they go while still doing their jobs. Upper management is simultaneously constantly in your business and completely unreachable, which is a frustrating combination. If you are hourly, then your work/life balance will be fine, but be careful taking a salaried position. Salaried employees would email at 3 am, take meetings on the weekends, and many were on-call 24/7. With 100 employees and three centers, the "start-up" mentality is extremely strong.
