Pros

Direct management at operations and client services level is supportive of both growth and just in general. I have had multiple managers over the years and I have never had any issues. Camaraderie is great and there is a generous PTO package.

Cons

Pay is absolutely below market - you often see adjusters leaving to get their salary increase and then returning with that bump in pay. It causes a lot of issues with turnover. You will have to fight to get paid comparably yo industry peers. We now have 3 chief executives with some type of strategy or transformation in the title. Operations is floundering - we are losing people due to overwork and staff is not replaced. Our client facing system is aged as is our internal claims system - these are all the reasons we are losing clients. Our company leadership seems clueless(unlikely) or more likely looking at how to squeeze out profits for the PE firms that own us. There have been layoffs and it was a complete mess in how it was handled - which leads me to believe that this was a quick order with a very hard deadline. My most cynical opinion is that we are preparing to be sold - but more serious layoffs will be coming unlike in years past. Or there will be heavy reliance on AI instead of going back to basics to try to support our clients. While there is a lot of PTO people don’t take it. Recently there was a company wide announcement to take PTO - most colleagues I know leave a lot on the table every year. I was out of work for a week and left with a cleared in box and came back to 780 emails. Absurd.

Pros

The benefits are okay I suppose but they'll deduct your PTO from your severance pay. It's basically a ripoff loan.

Cons

-Constant harassment and hounding from Team Leads. -Unrealistic expectations for case load productivity. Mind you, the maximum expected amount of diaries to be completed is 80+. You're expected to make and take calls while also juggling case notes, emails, and Teams messages that pull you away from your current task. And the workload is moved constantly, regardless of an employee is absent, tardy, or even still present despite being heavy across the board. But you're expected to finish it all "productively" within 8 hours. No overtime and minimal assistance. -Good audit scores don't matter. You could have 98% to 100% , leadership will burn you for missing a few notes or if you're behind on other people's work while also being behind on yours. They say they're understaffed but they refuse to hire more people unless it's your replacement. -You're practically working on a sinking ship.
