Pros

Working at Seismic has been great so far...The company has really started to invest in its current employees. They implemented goal-based coaching, a $1,000 stipend per year to spend on additional training of your choice within your job description/development, the product is something that the market actually needs so it is well received in client meetings. I'd highly recommend working at Seismic to a friend/colleague. They fly the whole company to San Diego once a year & we close the company down the week of Christmas which to me is a huge perk!

Cons

The only con that I think exists at any fast-growing SaaS company is the constant change. There are constant process changes and specifically, I've seen a lot of management changes.

Pros

The best part of working here was my team, everyone I worked with, aside from my direct colleague, was kind, supportive, and willing to help. The PTO policy and flexible work schedule were positive, and the benefits (especially for anyone planning to start a family) were excellent. The overall pay was also competitive.

Cons

The company still operates like a startup. A major challenge was the lack of clear expectations. Tasks were often assigned without context, priorities shifted without communication, and responsibilities were passed around. Feedback was inconsistent, and I was sometimes held accountable for expectations that were never clearly outlined. This made it incredibly difficult to perform at a high level, despite my best efforts. Another concern was the unprofessional behavior from my direct colleague, who spoke negatively about me to multiple people across the org. This created an uncomfortable environment and eroded trust. Because of this I went from being a great employee to nearly being placed on a PIP. Their unclear expectations made success impossible. Clearer goals, consistent communication, and defined accountability, would've prevented me from being set up to fail.
