Pros

Relatively good benefits. OT be ready.

Cons

Lacking manpower, direction, not a team environment, over extends employees, sets unreasonable expectations for both employees and clients. Currently this company is over committing to projects they can not perform nor have the resources to perform. Has not met sale goals thus no bonuses paid for those who work hard to make the impossible happen. This company values no one! You are just a means to an end. HIRE MORE PEOPLE! Upper level managers have no clue whats going on, your spreading the field way to thin, lacking not just manpower physically but the mental ability of knowing our systems is being taken away. This company is doomed if changes to the culture and mentality are not made ASAP. Sad this used to be a wonderful company with an amazing culture who valued their employees. Not any more. Your losing valued employees, long term employees due to the complete lack of direction, communication, leadership and Pay increase.

Pros

Sentry Control Systems has always been a great company to work for. There has never been a single year that it has not grown. There are lots of growing pains but I would rather have this problem than worry about what I was going to be doing tomorrow. With the growth comes lots of opportunities for relocation and advancement. If you like to move up quickly and you don't ind hustling, this is the right place for you. Great benefits, company cars, flexible hours, no hard start times and lots of autonomy to complete your work. They treat you like adults and expect you to take care of your responsibilities and manage yourself.

Cons

The decentralized management and flexible approach requires more responsibility and initiative from the individual employees. Not everyone knows how to behave in this environment. This is a for profit company which means that there is a balance between adding new resources and maintaining profitability. This applies lots of pressure on existing staff.

Pros

Sentry is a high growth company and gives tremendous opportunities for personal professional growth to all of its employees. The company has tripled in the last 5 years in a period of time where significant change has come to the parking industry. Sentry is viewed as an innovator of best in class products and solution, and Sentry is known for phenomenal service. Our parent company, SKIDATA, opens opportunities anywhere in the country and anywhere in the world, which means our employees get to interact with and work with a global workforce. In the last couple of years, we have been lucky enough to attract top talent in the industry from Australia, Holland, Austria, and the UK. Our team is more diverse than ever before, and that diversity is essential to our continued success.

Cons

Growth can be uncomfortable at times. Onboarding and training at scale have been a challenge; however, Sentry has taken significant steps to emphasize the importance of training and knowledge as we head into 2017 and beyond. The number of already scheduled domestic and international training opportunities for Sentry employees in 2017 is more than double the amount of training which took place in 2016. What has been a weaker link in the last couple of years should become a strength soon.
