Pros

Heart warming environment with dedicated and knowledgeable staff. Youth are placed at the center of all the work, creating lasting impacts on each and every student. The committed and active board make this not only a sustainable, exemplary nonprofit organization.

Cons

I really can't say anything negative about this place. It will be as impactful and important as you make it.

Pros

Great mission, very expansive and offers a lot of room for creativity in each position. A beautiful community to be a part of. You can see the deep impacts of the programs and services - the youth continue to come back and stay involved even after high school. The Outdoor Education Program is the absolute gem of this agency. The trips are very transformative and they create a deep bond with the community. Benefits - Kaiser, dental, 401K Lots of POC staff members, Queer friendly, social justice oriented, mental health focus

Cons

Typical Non-Profit Challenges: low-pay positions especially for direct service staff, long hours, not many clear paths to move up, not a lot of quality supervision support, job responsibilities, and expectations can be unclear at times. Minorities, especially women often undermined, not valued as much as the cis-men in the organization. Conversations around lgbtqia+ inclusion, accessibility not always there or prioritized

Limited funds as is common with most nonprofits.
