Pros
Some nice people that work (at all levels).
Cons
Like many companies, such as Animoca, and particularly those that surf on the web3 hype, the management team are family members and their friends and the business model is unclear. Some senior roles are overpaid with not much to show, yet they are smooth talkers and take credit for work done by underpaid people. They use promotional videos of projects from 5 years ago, made by people who sued them for not paying their salaries for extensive periods of time, despite not having anyone qualified to do a similar work today, as well as projects done by teams entirely laid off since. Nowadays their products are mostly done by cheap contractors abroad with no security or confidentiality policies in place. Finally the CEO of the company brought toxic patterns from the banking industry and micromanages arbitrary and discriminatory decisions without anyone daring to tell him it is wrong. People who tried to bring attention to some issues have been laid off in yet another round in 2023 that the company didn't bother communicating about. Anyone with CSR commitments should not work with Shadow Factory as a vendor or invest in this company until major changes are made.
