This is a great job for someone that doesn’t mind working overtime. On average, you work 10-12 hours per shift. Hourly rates are about average for the area, but overtime is truly guaranteed due to the nature of the job.
Cons
The industry is demanding, so it can be sometimes difficult to use vacation. Operations run 365 days a year, so working holidays is inevitable.
I worked with a lot of good people. Liked the job and felt like I had improved the West Mountain facility greatly.
Cons
The schedule was very inconsistent. Never knew what your schedule was going to be week to week. Also, there was a lot of “behind the scenes” changes that were kept secret and then revealed at the last minute.
