If you’re looking for a firm to gain real hands on civil litigation experience, this is the place for you. Plenty of work and ample opportunity to attend (virtual) court appearances, depositions and expert meetings. Unlike other litigation firms where partners usually take all appearances and exciting parts of a file, at Sheeley partners allow their associates to get involved in a file from start to end. Definitely great experience to learn and grow as an associate. Huge advantage is that the firm is paperless and everything can be done by laptop (which is supplied by the firm), so work is easily accessible and organized rather than sorting through an old paper chart. Partners welcome associate input and are approachable to answer questions or brainstorm about a file. All associates are great. Very supportive of each other and always have an open dialogue sharing insight, case law and helping one another.
