Pros
- Will learn about different management/ leadership styles. - Has good benefits/ retirement options - Trainee is compensated for mileage / travel costs for working out of your area. - Building professional relationships with the customers.
Cons
Sherwin-Williame needs to be more transparent about the training process. - Trainees have to travel to various store locations until there is a spot open to get promoted to assistant manager. - Locations where trainees are asked to work , can vary greatly. You're commute can be 5 miles away or 57 miles away. - There is a disparity in this process of placing trainees in stores. Some can be placed at a store within three months others may have to wait up to a year. - It's not necessarily a con, but it can be for some people. Again, just being transparent with trainees. Trainees are asked to work 44 hours, typically work the evening, responsible for closing the store, and work every Saturday.
