Pros

fantastic benefits, as long as you have a degree you start as an assistant manager, can go anywhere in the united states, great management training program, decent starting salary. bonuses available.

Cons

long hours minimum of 44 hours a week must be worked. every store is understaffed so be prepared to work. late closing hours stores close at 7pm and open at 7 am so not much time to have a life. hard work a lot of lifting and constant standing and working in warehouses with no heat or a/c. majority of stores are in bad condition as far as the warehouse goes. every year you expected to do atleast 10% more in sales than previous year if you don't you get put on probation and cant get raise or promotion or transfer until the next year if you do go over 10%. all day long you get to deal with complaining customers and contractors who all complain about the exact same thing pricing.

Pros

Leadership training, flexible schedule if your store has the necessary staffing, 401k match

Cons

If you don't have staffing then you are required to work weekends consistently, Sales calls requirements keep getting higher and higher, incompetent corporate leadership. Pay is based on 44 hours worked weekly for assistants(48 for Store managers; leaves room for less work/life balance
