Pros
If there’s one thing this company does well, it’s cutting costs unnecessarily to increase profits and screwing over their store level employees.
Cons
First it was Covid, then it was the EXTREME material shortage. We were told how important our jobs were on the front lines dealing directly with our customers and tackling these problems head on. For what? A pat on the back and an “attaboy”?… Pay scale is garbage. They’ll increase prices by double digits, boast about record gross profits over the year but refuses to give any meaningful raises. Don’t like the pay? Quit and they’ll just hire someone inexperienced and pay them more than they told you that you were worth. New hires start out at higher wages than experienced employees who have several years under their belt. Stores are understaffed and struggling, meaning little to no work life balance. 7 days a week regardless of staffing. Good luck getting to use any of your earned PTO. Didn’t get to use all of your PTO? Throw it in the garbage because it won’t roll over and they won’t pay it out. Sales budgets are made to be unattainable. Corporate expects us to consistently, unconditionally create heavy growth of the business without giving us the proper resources or ability to accomplish goals. Mentally exhausting and draining. Some people can thrive in this type of environment, but as for me, this job makes me want to die in my sleep so I won’t have to go back the next day.
