Pros
- Interacting with Customers is always great (esp. if you are knowledgeable, interested and passionate about Firearms & Instruction) - The subject matter is fun if you are into it (Firearms, etc.) - Membership to Range included with Employment
Cons
- TERRIBLE base pay (esp. in comparison to workload and everything you have to deal with, very low in comparison to other jobs as well.) - Poor training for new hires & lack of common tools and properly functioning equipment necessary for the job. - Potential health hazards and risks (OSHA level complaints) that aren't even mentioned or trained on handling when operating some equipment. (It's not like they care though.) - Underappreciated by management (despite the amount of effort you put in or "above and beyond" you go.) - Underutilized, and you will probably be looked over or outsourced when it comes to filling positions or promotions. (No internal notices) - Current management is very bad (condescending, passive aggressive, volatile - someone no one enjoys working with and who has pushed away many good employees)
