Pros
Easy job that provided a good work-life flexibility. Working downtown (if you like that thing) was fun, and easy to commute to fro uptown, Chicago. Near complete autonomy over the department, but no credit for input/ideas, nor were there resources to provide any department process upgrades or implement new ones.
Cons
Management did not care about the state of the company it seemed. The sales team nearly imploded in 2020 and took 6-12 months to backfill while near 0 sales were happening, leaving not much to do in shipping/receiving or for the project management team. The company was up for sale for so long (still is at time of writing this) that everything was just stuck in limbo. Meanwhile, our top tier employees were jumping ship to join the parent company (Sensormatics) or other companies as ShopperTrak drifts away into a product of a company, rather than a company in it of itself.
