- read reviews carefully, the good ones are from OH/home office. Contract employees do not feel the same.
Their pay is low, their raises are laughable/insulting. They do NOT follow their own handbook when it comes to the 401K. They will pull your money and hold it for over a month, and they do not match as outlined in thier own handbook. I received tax forms on 9 Apr and was told it was a postal issue. My whole site received forms on 9 Apr.
I cannot speak to their other benefits; I did not use any of them. Turnover at the corporate level in 1 years was HUGE, multiple sections with a constant change over - don't blame them.
The CEO grossly underbids contracts and then makes the employees take the cut. When you exceed all areas of your appraisal, and your raise is not enough to buy a can of pop there are no excuses. They claim “bonuses” and “perks” – untrue. Now that might be because I was on a contract, and they simply do not care about those employees, but either way SierTek does not treat their people good. It was one thing after another with this company for over a year.
I was on a DOD contract awarded to SierTek (as a Sub). When I started, I was with a different company, but these guys were awarded the contract. That means my employer changed, as did my pay. It was a huge digression in company standards.
My site was not lead well locally, lacked professionalism, communication, and integrity. Claimed credit for others work. No course of action to fix that known problem.
