Pros

Pros
Good product for post accounting work for firms, though half-baked especially with recent “restructure” of the product and development teams that has been poorly handled by CEO and senior leadership despite the product team starting to form properly in the UK just a few months ago. Colleagues are generally friendly; however, a strong level of Stockholm syndrome exhibited by most because of the constant fear and intimidation by CEO and senior leadership covered up and enabled by HR.
Cons
A mess self-inflicted by the CEO and first time senior leaders without experience. Sit down… it's a long story. If you have any other role available, turn around and stay put or go with your other offer. Silverfin is run poorly by a narcissistic CEO. This CEO lacks any empathy for you or your family. This CEO purposely turns colleagues against each other through false narratives and misinformation. This CEO laughs and makes light of a systematic approach to get rid of “enemies” in restructures and redundancies; people that apparently have lost “trust”. Incompetent people are valued despite not knowing what to do. These same people use gifts to the CEO to gain praise in non-existent work. These people tattle on other leaders to the CEO to make gains in their own career within the business without regard to the fact that these accusations get people terminated while also playing the game by calling the CEO a “dictator” in the same conversations with those other leaders. The CEO doesn’t know how to sell. The CEO doesn’t know how to market. The CEO doesn’t know how to build a product. Yet, somehow they’ve been given the position to lead a company for 4 years without strong results. Instead, a systematic state of fear and intimidation is the norm. That’s what this CEO is great at, creating an environment that no one wants to work for and this is the reason for the constant turnover of people in the business. Interestingly, the CEO seems to think that the inability to hire great people is the lack of brand awareness rather than the awareness in the market of the nightmare leadership… To make up for this disaster, this CEO hires friends and family without the skills or experience to get the job done. Nepotism at its best. She hired her child multiple times. A child that supposedly did work, but it’s more likely done by someone else overseas. A child that received preferential treatment. Not required to come to the office 2x per week compared to the vast majority of staff. Honestly, a full novel could be written with multiple chapters on the terrible leadership. To keep it short, CEO makes working for Silverfin terrible. AVOID! Keep your dignity and integrity.
Pros
Very friendly and supportive colleagues; people are approachable and enjoyable to work with. Strong company culture with a collaborative and people-oriented mindset. Exciting SaaS product with a strong market position and international growth ambitions. Modern tech environment with interesting technical challenges and ongoing transformation projects. Well-structured and organized company processes overall. Good balance between autonomy and teamwork. Competitive salary package and attractive benefits. Focus on employee growth and development, including learning budgets and internal mobility opportunities. International environment with teams across multiple countries. Open communication culture and welcoming atmosphere.
Cons
Fast-paced scale-up environment may require adaptability to changing priorities
