Pros
The product is incredible and has potential to grow into a powerhouse as it's already used by most of the Fortune 500. The people are unbeatable and genuinely care about one another. I am inspired by my colleagues in a work setting but also enjoy spending time with them outside of work as they're all truly kind friends. Not the absolute best culture but still enjoyable quarterly events, happy hours, and shared learning experiences. In my time at the company, there have been major improvements around developing career paths for younger employees. A lot of great talent was lost along the way when there wasn't a path though. The company tries to include the employees in the Israeli culture which I think is pretty cool and unique. I feel our C-Suite is approachable and you can create a strong relationship with members of our C Suite. Our Flatiron office is a great space that makes going to work more enjoyable. We eat lunch on Fridays all together as a work family which is a weekly highlight as well. The benefits are great (free health care, 401k matching, % gym reimbursement) Overall, I feel proud to work here.
Cons
Leadership and management decisions are shortsighted at the company which has lead to some disastrous situations where people are set up for failure and talent is lost. If you don't get along with management, you won't be successful at SimilarWeb. Most managers are on the younger side and not incredibly experienced. The company lacks managers that have experience at other reputable tech companies that could provide more insight on process, culture, and growth. There are some sizable disparities between salaries which has upset employees. Some roles are way overpaid and some are way underpaid considering the work load which is unfair. This is not a company where you can freely expense anything or expense even the bare necessities which has outraged many employees and continuously does so. For those that have teams that sit in Tel Aviv and they're in the States, there is way less work-life balance due to different work weeks.
