Pros

Good amount of Pto given

Cons

management is very lacking in professionalism. they don't do much outside of the basics to teach you and treat their employees very poorly. Extremely high turnover rate(definitely above normal) and once you work there you realize why, management will consistently speak down too or treat employees horribly, You can be amazing at your job but it does not matter if management does not like you and there is favortism throughout the branches. I would not recommend working here if you want to be in banking due to low pay and treatment. many people struggle to get the time off approved and you can not take an unpaid day off no matter what. I would not recommend this company to anyone. there are a lot of legalities to banking and they give you very little training to prepare you. Many branches are consistently understaffed so burnout becomes very real.

Pros

Simmons Bank is a great place to work if you value positive intangible employment characteristics including but not limited to: work/life balance, low stress, competent management, co-workers and stakeholders that are easy to work with, aversion to rising benefit premiums, high stability and back office job security, and overall positive corporate culture. If you want to easily tolerate or even enjoy your job, but also want to leave work at the office, Simmons Bank can acquiesce.

Cons

Simmons Bank is conservative in the corporate sense, and is not typically on the bleeding edge of compensation for those working as individual contributors in the back office. However, one can easily earn a more than honest living (or better depending on the department).

Pros

Small enough company that you can talk to leadership and voices matter. Culture used to be great. Lots of middle management understands the obstacles employees face and fights for the better.

Cons

The entire company is centered around Arkansas/Little Rock/Pine Bluff. There are other markets with massive opportunity that are always getting ignored. Everything is looked at through the lens of how things are done, ran, budgeted, ect in LR. Lots of recent change has caused a lot of bankers to leave and start looking for jobs elsewhere because they’re tired of lack of leadership.
